Mechanic

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good, trustworthy mechanic/auto shop in the area?

  1. We just did a whole bunch of work on our car, boo!, but while Joe was at Auto Zone, talking prices on things, they told him of one of their mechanics that used to work for them but now stays at home with his wife who has health issues. His name is Ernest Vera, 615-0325. He's charges way cheap. He's even come to our apartment and fixed our car! He lives at 7110 Wurzbach #311 so he's not too far. He has fixed a bunch of stuff in just the few months and he's been really good, and we've saved a lot with him.

  2. Charly, did you know that your daughter told us in primary that you guys have prayed for your jeep to work again but that it didn't work? haha! Hilarious! I hope you get your car issues fixed.

  3. I went to AppleWhites off of Bandera and Grissom once and I really liked them!

  4. Jennifer, haha, thanks for sharing that with me. I worry sometimes about the things Logan shares. That is too funny. I guess I need to explain to her that the answer to that prayer was that instead of the jeep starting, Michelle (Jenson) ended up being home that morning and so graciously let us borrow her car so that I could still get Logan to school (which is why Logan was praying really...for the jeep to start so she could still get to school) Haha.

  5. We just got our catalytic?? converter fixed in our honda at Belden's Automotive on Fredericksburg. They did a good job-of course it was still expensive but they did match any price. And there's a 15 year warranty.

  6. Whoa! I just went to Ken's Tire, Inc. and would highly, highly recommend it to anyone! I got online to write a post about what a wonderful time I had getting my oil changed yesterday and saw this post. They also do repairs and they are so nice! It was wonderful! I have never been to such a clean, friendly, honest oil changing place in my life! The guy was super-friendly, it didn't smell like the usual bad smell of auto shops, and the owner of the shop himself came and sat down and talked to me for a few minutes about fun stuff to do in San Antonio. They even opened the door to my car for me so I didn't have to put Tyson down as I left. And the best part is they never tried to dupe me with anything. If you are looking for the best repair or oil change of your life, you should go there! It is on 7180 Grissom Road (Right off of Timberhill) and it is amazing. They also have a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty. (plus our oil change was only $10.00 because we found a coupon online under Alamo City Auto Repair & Tires). Anyway, you all should go there! It made my whole month since I usually hate getting my oil changed!

  7. I recommend Classic Performance. It is on Timberhill at Grissom. He is very honest about the work, price and the TIME it is going to take. I've had to ask some really lame quesions, and he is very patient and doesn't take advantage. Ask for Adolf 681-8899.
